we are very much looking forward to the upcoming Equality Championship – and we are also a little bit excited if everything will work out as we would expect! We are probably a bit like you. But we are well prepared and have put together all the important information about your DM here!

Starting list
Please check your names and club details on the starting lists. Sometimes the first and last name fields have been reversed. Actually, we should have corrected all this. If something else should be corrected, please leave a correction note only at the check-in. Your correction will then be forwarded to the competition management from the check-in.

In order to avoid traffic chaos in the area of the street “Am Pfeilshof”, a one-way-street-system will be set up on the competition days:
Parking is possible in the streets Am Pfeilshof and Waldingstraße as well as on the “ordinary” parking lots.
A cheap alternative to the taxi in Hamburg could be the ridesharing service MOIA (https://www.moia.io/de-DE/hamburg). A cheap ride on the electric bus can be booked via smartphone app. [Unfortunately we do not receive any money for this reference, it is just a well-intentioned tip. ;-)]
Check-in
The entrance area will be divided into two parts. A box office for the visitors and the check-in for all dancers.
Couple numbers
All couples were sorted alphabetically by the first-given surname and numbered from 1 to (currently) 72. Please do not be surprised: Due to registrations / cancellations, the couple numbers of the published start list do not necessarily coincide with your start number in the competition.
You will receive black couples numbers for which we collect 10 € deposit. You will get back 10 € after giving us back your number.
Cancellations
Sick on tournament day or during the competition? We keep our fingers crossed that you are fit! Nevertheless, something can happen.
On site we have an first-aider. Please ask at the competition management, at the counter or at the check-in for help! If you are on-site and need to cancel one of your notifications, please inform the check-in, who will pass this on to the competition management.
If you can not even come to the Equality Championship, it’s best to do two things:

Competition certificate
ALL participants will get a certificate!
The final couples receive their certificates during the award ceremony. All couples who do not reach the final round of their competition, please collect your certificates at check-in.

Adjudicators
Free entrance for dancers
All dancers have free entry on both days, no matter when you’re dancing or after you have your own competition behind you. So be sure to give yourself an invisible black light stamp! The free admission is of course also for the dance party / evening event on Saturday.
Dance party on Saturday
On Saturday evening we conclude the championship days with an elegant dance party. Some ask for a dress code: Because it does not become a stiff dance ball, everyone is in “sporty-elegant” just right.
Der Zeitplan sieht für Samstagabend vor:
Einlass ab 19:30 Uhr, Beginn der Tanzparty um 20:00 Uhr, Endrunden der A-Turniere (Frauen 18+ Latein und Männer 18+ Standard) ab 21:00 Uhr, anschließend wieder Tanz für Alle. Gegen 23 Uhr haben wir noch ein kleines queer-tanzsportliches Highlight vorbereitet und dann kann bis Mitternacht noch weiter getanzt und gefeiert werden.
The schedule is for Saturday night:
Admission from 7:30 pm, beginning of the dance party at 8:00 pm, finals of the A finals (women 18+ latin and men 18+ standard) from 9:00 pm, followed by dancing for all. At 11 pm we have prepared a small queer-dance-sport highlight and then we can dance and party until midnight.
On Saturday, at the end of the afternoon session (around 5:30 pm), we will clear the hall once and let everyone in at 7:30 pm. We use the time to prepare everything once. Thank you for your help!
