Competition Rules

The competition rules for equality dance competitions of the DVET (German Association for Equality Dance Sports) incl. the current annexes are applied. The rules and regulations are available in German on the DVET homepage.

Showdance

We will carry out showdance competitions for couples and formation teams.
Please use the registration form for showdance competitions.

General Look

In the beginning of each competition and before the selection round will be danced a General Look. Here, the adjudicators will get an impression of the performance level of the participating couples. The General Look will not be judged.
In ballroom competitions, Tango will be danced. In latin competitions, Chacha will be danced.

Final marks

In all finals closed marking will apply.

A-Finals

The A-finalists of both age groups will be asked to do a brief presentation dance at the beginning of their finals. The dance may be chosen individually from the five dances of the respective section and must be communicated to the tournament management immediately after the announcement of the finalists. The choice of music is up to the organizers. The presentation dance will not be judged.

The A-finals of Women 18+ Latin and Men 18+ Standard are carried out as part of the evening event.

Registration deadline

The registration deadline is Monday, May 20, 2019.
Please consider that the registration is valid only after transfer of the registration fee to the announced bank account.

Competition numbers

At check-in, please have ready 5 € deposit for the competition number.

Senior competitions

Senior couples are requested to provide a prood of their date of birth by a document such as ID, driver’s licence etc. at check-in.

Couples’ declaration for German participants

Please bring your already completed and signed couples’ declaration. In order to be inclueded in the rating for the title “German Champions 2019”, each couple must submit a completed and signed couples’ declaration. In the event of reasonable doubt on the correctness of the information, the tournament management reserves the right to demand proof.
